I am trying to figure out which instruments and enhancements in order to ensure I have a fantastic selection.... Wowza! I could literally spend $1500-$2500 easily!!! I am trying to decide which packages give me essentials and enough different sounds. I absolutely LOVE being an Entrepreneur and running my own businesses, but you do have to be very careful about expenses. It's so much fun to be in charge. I'm like a kid in a candy store at the Kindermusik International store. Grown up Lara needs to take over before my Visa bill comes with a ridiculous balance owing. Lol
Ooh, also today, I got contacted by
Severn Township. I teach Kindermusik in York Region & South Simcoe and apparently now Severn township??? Maybe? Hopefully? I know it's a bit far, but I am very excited they sought me out as Kindermusik is the #1 Music & Movement program and ALL children should get the opportunity to participate in a Kindermusik classroom. I am going to do my very best to educate and inspire as many children as humanly possible.
I also set up two business/network lunches for next week.

Today I spent a lot of time in Kindermusik International's Kindermusik Cafe! What is amazing is that it is kind of like a Facebook or Social Media for Kindermusik Educators. It is a way for educators to meet, mingle, help each other and ask questions. I think it is an absolutely fantastic platform to help all educators grow to be the best that we can all be. We are all better together then separately of course. What do you think of social media? Are you a fan? Are you on Facebook? Twitter? Google+? Pinterest?

It is still bitterly cold outside!!!! Tonight I had a networking meeting in town here.
It was great to meet some fellow entrepreneurs for sure and community members. Some very nice and friendly people that's for sure!!!
Kindermusik Birthday parties have been booking up and a Village class is about to start running in Stouffville.
All in all today was a great, but bitterly cold, day!

Today was THE coldest day that Barrie has had in a year!!!! Oh my gosh it was so cold. Thankfully today I worked from home, otherwise I wouldn't have been having fun. The closest I got to the outside was letting the dog out to pee and play a few times.

Yesterday was freezing cold out for a Sunday! Brrrrrrrrr.... Well prob not the coldest January day ever, but definitely the coldest one in awhile plus the wind chill. I think it was -10 degrees Celsius, much colder with wind chill I suspect. It's been in the pluses for the last week or more I'm sure and a very mild season. Brrrrrrrr

Flu season is upon us and seems especially bad this year!!! Ways to avoid the flu & prevent spreading it:
Get the Flu Shot
Wash Your Hands
Stay home if you are sick
Keep kids home if they are sick
Take Vitamin C
Get lots of sleep
Don't touch your face

Social Media & Google Plus

It's amazing this new craze/wave of marketing ideas and ways to reach/ find / build customer relationships. I just watched an hour long "hang out" video tutorial about Google plus and Why you should you be on it even if no one else is.... Well, guess I am re-dedicating myself to creating a Google Plus account. I first was actually really interested, but it then seemed that no one else was really "into" it. Apparently, one of the top reasons to be on Google plus is that Google indexes your posts and Facebook doesn't. Since everyone is about SEO or Search Engine Optimization, which is still a foreign language to me, it makes sense. Ill keep you up to date and in the loop of my progress!!!

Kindermusik Birthday Parties

Does your child have a birthday coming up? Are you unsure what to do with all those little kids? How about a Kindermusik Birthday Party? A licensed Kindermusik Educator will come with all the instruments and everything that you will need. 15 minutes of Free Play with the instruments and then 45 mins of structured Kindermusik classes. One adult per child under 4 is required to help them enjoy the experience. Children over 4, parents are invited to participate, but do not need to.
